Over this past week, Washington Avenue and Scout Troop 8 coordinated a food drive to assist the CUMC Food Pantry. Thank you for your continued and invaluable support!

There’s a brand-new pantry in town! Scout AJ George and Troop 8 dedicated their Sunday to construct this outdoor food pantry. We are immensely grateful for their hard work and considerate gesture.

When making donations, please consider leaving them in the gray/green container located beside the glass church doors (positioned behind the church). Our dedicated volunteers regularly collect and organize the donations, ensuring they reach the pantry efficiently. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all for your generous support!

Take what you need, leave what you can.

At this time, our Food Pantry is experiencing a critical shortage of many food and all personal care staples. In the summer, donations are typically low. This summer, we again have found that this trend continues but we are also finding that use of our sheds have increased. We need and appreciate assistance in any form. Ideas of how to help:

Spread the word! Please share news of our need with neighbors and friends. Word of mouth is an amazing way to help us.

Fill a bag – When you head to the store for a visit, please consider making a bag for the pantry.

Online – There are links to donate through our webpage. You can even use our Amazon Wish List.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our Community Food Pantry and the neighbors we serve.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from Washington Avenue School once again! The School District of the Chathams Maintenance Crew generously assisted Washington Avenue in delivering more than 1100 food items that families from Washington Avenue School donated to the CUMC Community Food Pantry! This contribution has been invaluable in restocking our previously emptying shelves. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Washington Avenue School for their support!

The CUMC Community Food Pantry is in desperate need this week of:
CEREAL, CANNED TUNA, PASTA SAUCE, PEANUT BUTTER, LONG LIFE MILK

Thank you Chatham Education Foundation, your donations to the Food Pantry will bless many people this week especially the special Birthday Boxes!
