54th Annual Antiques Show and Sale

The 2010 Antiques Show was a tremendous success – despite the weather.

This year was more of a challenge than most because of the snow storm on the Wednesday before the show.  A big thank you to our sexton Donald Underhill for clearing the entire education building, a day earlier than normal, with a crew of only 3, (without the 8 men from a local half-way-house that normally help).  Donald then stayed over Tuesday night to clear the snow.

A special thanks to Nick Ball, Matt Ball, Nicholas Strunc and their friends, along with Amy Ball and Jerry Shaw for getting to the church at 9 am Thursday (a snow day!), within a ½ hour of being called on the phone.  Their help carrying the antique dealer’s inventory into the building and setting up the booths was crucial to keeping the show on schedule.

Many thanks to chefs, cooks, bakers and waitresses, lead by John Hadamuscin, for preparing and serving over 360 meals over 2 days.  The Dining Room has become a signature feature of our show which separates it from all the others.  This is a huge undertaking for which we are very grateful.

We want to thank the many people who gave their time and talents to make it such a wonderful event.  It amazes us how each year the team of volunteers steps up and completes the many tasks that need to be done, often without any guidance from us.  They just do it!!  It could not happen without your help.

Debbie Smith Chairperson and Craig Denecke Co-Chairperson.
