Connect with Our Community
Chatham UMC hopes that you may grow in your faith and life by connecting with us in multiple ways. Join a group so that our community may benefit from your uniqueness and creativity. You may also connect with a music group, find out about our youth programs, or connect through worship and associated ministries.
Sarah Circle: Women of the church gather monthly on the first Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Asbury Room for refreshments and a group discussion with frequent guests speakers. For more information email the church office at info@chathamumc.org.
Men’s Group: The Chatham UMC men’s group meets once a month for breakfast, on the second Saturday of the month. Sharing a great meal together, they talk about how certain faith experiences pertain uniquely to men, also talking sports and current events as the spirit moves. Each meeting is held at the home of a volunteer group member. For interest or questions, please contact Mike Maguire.

Adult Discussion Group: Each Sunday morning during the program season, the adult discussion group meets in the Asbury Room after the 10:00 am service to discuss issues of spirituality, scriptures, and theology. For more information contact Ron Yarger.
Communities of Care: If you wish to receive a call, text, or an email from someone in the Chatham UMC community, please call 973-653-7740 or email the church office at info@chathamumc.org.
Community Events
Throughout the year Chatham UMC offers unique services and events that are especially community oriented.
All are welcome!
Brunch Church: Once a quarter on a Sunday morning, the congregation worships together in CUMC’s fellowship space, Rodda Hall, enjoying brunch during our 10:00 am service. The church provides coffee, scrambled, eggs, pancakes, sausage (vegetarian included), pastries and the congregation is invited to bring a dish (but it is not required).
Blessing of the Animals: Outside in the CUMC parking lot during an afternoon in the Fall, Pastor Sharon leads a brief service to bless all animals, large and small. Everyone is invited to bring their pet or a picture of their pet along to the service.
Cookies 4 Life: In December, Pastor Sharon leads a community effort to decorate pre-baked cookies that are packaged and then sent to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
